Woman Crashes Russian News With Anti-War Protest Sign

Noting that she had a Ukrainian father and a Russian mom who had by no means been enemies, she stated the necklace she was carrying — within the colours of the Russian and Ukrainian flags — was a logo for the necessity for Moscow to cease “this fratricidal battle.”

“Sadly, for the previous few years I’ve labored at Channel One and labored on Kremlin propaganda,” she stated. “I’m very ashamed for this proper now — ashamed that I let folks inform lies from the TV display, ashamed that I allowed the Russian folks to be zombified.”

Referring to Russia’s 2014 invasion of the Ukrainian territory of Crimea after which jap territories in Ukraine, in addition to the Kremlin’s poisoning of opposition chief Alexei Navalny in 2020, Ovsyannikova stated, “We simply silently watched this inhuman regime.”

“Now the entire world has turned away from us,” she stated, “and the following 10 generations of our descendants will not wash off the disgrace of this fratricidal battle.”

“We’re Russian individuals who assume, who’re good. It is solely in our energy to cease all this insanity,” she concluded. “Go to protests. Do not be afraid of something. They cannot imprison us all.”
