LEVI Davis’ passport has been found by police – while his phone and bank cards have remained unused since he vanished three weeks ago.

The missing X Factor and rugby star was last seen leaving an Irish pub in Barcelona on October 29.

A social media appeal was launched to help find the former Bath rugby player as his family eagerly await new information from officials on the ground.

Spanish police said Levi’s phone signal was last detected close to Barcelona’s Sants Estació mainline train station overnight on October 29, but the mobile has not been used since.

The missing 24-year-old has not used his bank cards since he vanished in the Catalan capital with only 40 euros in cash on him.

His distraught mum, Julie Davis, flew out to Barcelona to help with the search before returning home to Birmingham.

But now his passport has been located, Mrs Davis says the family are becoming “increasingly concerned”.

She told MailOnline: “This is a very worrying development because you cannot do anything in Barcelona without a passport.

“Besides travel, you cannot book into a hotel or even rent somewhere without one.

“We know that his phone and two bank accounts have been untouched since he disappeared and so this is another blow.

“There have been a few sightings of someone looking like Levi near La Boqueria Market and the Arc de Triomf monument over the last week but sadly we are not sure it’s him.”

Levi’s family received a tip that he was seen walking in a square on Monday.

The same witness is said to have seen him a week earlier in another square near Barcelona’s La Boqueria Market – just a six-minute walk from the Irish pub where Levi was last spotted.

Mrs Davis said: “We remain hopeful but there have been no confirmed reports of Levi since the day he disappeared on October 29 and we are becoming increasingly concerned.”

She said her son being missing is “the worst feeling in the world” but the family are very grateful to local police and the British Consulate for their help.

Police are understood to have confirmed Levi is not in hospital and has not been arrested as part of an “emergency” response to a missing persons report.

Levi’s foster mother, Susanne Balfour, has also spoken out to Sky News about the Celebrity X-Factor contestant’s disappearance.

She confirmed that he had mentioned a blackmail threat in a video posted on social media that has since been deleted.

Host Kay Burley asked her if the clip was linked to her foster son’s sexuality – as Levi made history in 2020 when he became the first rugby union player to come out as bisexual while still playing.

Susanne replied: “He might just be frightened, he did say in that video that his life was in danger, I don’t know whether he’s running from something, I just don’t know.

“Levi said he needed to get out of Ibiza, when his friend asked why he just said he needed to get out.

“He was actually on a ferry from Ibiza going to Barcelona, but that was the last thing he heard from him.”

A GoFundMe was launched by Levi’s close pal Richard Squire in the hopes of boosting the profile of their appeal.

It explained the rugby ace has “struggled with his mental health for many years” and that his family were “extremely concerned for him.”
