FORT LAUDERDALE, FL / ACCESSWIRE / September 30, 2022 / KR Law Firm is announcing that they are one of the winners of the Pro Bono Award. The law firm has provided hours of pro bono services to win the nomination for 2022. The award is a sign that their efforts have been noticed. Thousands of poor Americans who could not afford to pay for a lawyer have been able to obtain justice because of lawyers and law firms in the Greater Miami area like Kahn and Resnik.

All partners and associates at KR Law Firm agreed that they deserved the award. Their compassion for the most vulnerable members of society was finally recognized and awarded.

100 Million Americans Cannot Afford Legal Services

According to a study by the American Bar Association, over 100 million low and middle-income Americans cannot afford legal representation for basic human needs. Unable to afford representation, more Americans are representing themselves in court and they are losing.

Lawyers believe that poverty shouldn’t be a hindrance to getting justice. Unfortunately, that is the case throughout America. Through their pro bono department, they represent low-income Americans for free. This is something that they have been doing for years and they have seen positive results.

Proud to Help Society

Marcy Resnik and her partner Howard Kahn of KR Law Firm is proud to help society. Partners at the firm agree that pro bono is a vital part of their work.

For KR Law Firm, pro bono work is part of their efforts to give back to society. They believe that they don’t exist in a vacuum but in a society beset with problems. Therefore, it is part of their moral responsibility to help in solving some of these problems.

KR Law Firm is always searching for genuine cases that deserve pro bono and subsequently handling them. As a result, they have helped many people to access justice that they couldn’t have accessed in the first place because of money problems.

Cost of Legal Services Getting Out of Hand

According to partners at KR Law Firm, the cost of hiring a lawyer in the US is seriously getting out of hand. This will end up making legal representation the preserve of those who have money.

With rising legal representation costs in the face of stagnant incomes and the rising cost of living, most people usually struggle to raise legal fees or they can’t raise it at all when they get into trouble.
