GST Collection Data August 2022: Big YoY jump! Rs 1.43 lakh crore – Key details

Items and Companies Tax (GST) assortment in August 2022 stood at Rs 1,43,612, in response to information launched by the Ministry of Finance on Thursday. That is the sixth month in a row when GST assortment remained above Rs 1.40 lakh crore.

“Higher reporting coupled with financial restoration has been having a optimistic influence on the GST revenues on a constant foundation,” the ministry stated in a press release.

The gross GST income collected in August 2022 stood at Rs 1,43,612 crore of which Central GST is Rs 24,710 crore, State GST is Rs 30,951 crore, Built-in GST is Rs 77,782 crore (together with Rs 42,067 crore collected on import of products) and cess is Rs 10,168 crore (together with Rs 1,018 crore collected on import of products), the ministry stated.

The revenues for the month of August 2022, registered 28 per cent improve than the GST revenues of Rs 1,12,020 crore collected in August 2021.
