Govardhan Puja 2022: Govardhan or Gowardhan Puja is a part of 5-day-long Diwali celebration. It is also known as Annakut Puja and is celebrated as the day when Lord Krishna defeated God Indra. This year Govardhan puja is being celebrated on October 26, 2022.
On Govardhan Puja food made of cereals is cooked and offered to Lord Krishna. This may include wheat, rice, curry made of gram flour, leafy vegetables and more.
Most of the time Govardhan Puja day falls day after Diwali Puja but this year there is a one-day gap between Diwali and Govardhan Puja. Govardhan Puja is celebrated on Pratipada Tithi of Kartik month.
