Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the declined 0.20%, while the index lost 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:), which rose 2.18% or 0.55 points to trade at 25.80 at the close. Meanwhile, STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:) added 2.15% or 0.76 points to end at 36.42 and Thales (EPA:) was up 1.87% or 2.25 points to 122.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stellantis NV (EPA:), which fell 2.55% or 0.37 points to trade at 14.08 at the close. Teleperformance SE (EPA:) declined 1.90% or 4.30 points to end at 221.70 and Sanofi SA (EPA:) was down 1.77% or 1.60 points to 89.00.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Elior Group (EPA:) which rose 4.12% to 3.03, Derichebourg (EPA:) which was up 3.92% to settle at 5.43 and Eramet SA (EPA:) which gained 3.73% to close at 83.40.
The worst performers were Ubisoft Entertainment (EPA:) which was down 4.62% to 26.84 in late trade, SEB SA (EPA:) which lost 3.72% to settle at 80.15 and Stellantis NV (EPA:) which was down 2.55% to 14.08 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 287 to 263 and 79 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.06% or 1.15 to $1,799.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $71.98 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 0.57% or 0.44 to trade at $76.73 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.37% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.12% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 104.83.
