Vande Bharat Express Sealdah-New Jalpaiguri, Vande Bharat Secunderabad to Vijayawada, Vande Bharat Nagpur-Hyderabad – The railways will soon launch a Vande Bharat Express in West Bengal to connect Kolkata with Siliguri, Darjeeling MP Raju Bista said on Monday. Siliguri’s BJP MLA Shankar Ghosh and senior railway officials were present at the programme.
Vande Bharat Express Sealdah-New Jalpaiguri route
Speaking at a programme at the Siliguri Junction railway station, Bista said the train will connect the Sealdah station in Kolkata to the New Jalpaiguri station in the north Bengal city of Siliguri. “People will be able to reach their destinations much faster when the Vande Bharat expressed is launched on the Sealdah-New Jalpaiguri route. It will begin a new chapter in the development of the region,” the BJP MP said.

According to a report by news agency IANS, the new generation Vande Bharat Express train between Secunderabad and Vijayawada will start from the new year. The exact date of the launch of Vande Bharat Express train between Secunderabad and Vijayawada is yet to be finalised. The date will be announced after the railway authorities complete track upgradation.
Secunderabad to Vijayawada Vande Bharat Express Train will likely run via Kazipet route.
This will be the first such indigenously-built semi high-speed rail in South Central Railway (SCR) and the second in south India. The first Vande Bharat in south India was launched between Chennai and Mysuru in November.
The report said that the Ministry of Railways has given approval for Vande Bharat train on Secunderabad-Vijayawada route.
Senior BJP leader and Union Minister G Kishan Reddy is keen to invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi for launching the new Vande Bharat Express train between Secunderabad and Vijayawada. Reddy is a Lok Sabha MP from Secunderabad.
Secunderabad Vijayawada Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express Train
The report said that Indian Railways has plans to extend Secunderabad – Vijayawada Vande Bharat Express train to Visakhapatnam. The route extension will likely be done in February 2023. A proposal to run Vanda Bharat Express between Secunderabad and Tirupati is also pending before Indian Railways.
The first Vande Bharat Express train was flagged off on the New Delhi-Kanpur-Allahabad-Varanasi route on February 15, 2019.
Nagpur-Bilaspur Vande Bharat Express
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday flagged off the Vande Bharat Express train connecting Nagpur to Bilaspur. The flagging off ceremony took place at the Nagpur railway station.
Vande Bharat Express Nagpur and Hyderabad
Indian Railways is all set to launch the sixth Vande Bharat Express, there are chances that Vanda Bharat Express between Nagpur to Hyderabad will be introduced in the near future. This is because Maharashtra Cabinet minister Sudhir Mungantiwar has written a letter to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw demanding the Vande Bharat Express train be started from Nagpur to Hyderabad.
The four districts of Nagpur, Gondia, Bhandara and Chandrapur from Maharashtra’s Vidarbha region have good trade business with Hyderabad in Telangana, Mungantiwar said in the letter, as per a release issued by the Chandrapur district information office on Wednesday.
Although there are currently 22 trains running on the Nagpur-Hyderabad route, there must be a fast train to cover this distance of 575 km, stated Mungantiwar, who is also the guardian minister of Gondia and Chandrapur districts, he said.
Vande Bharat Express Train Speed
The Vande Bharat Express can run up to a maximum commercial speed of 160 kmph. Currently, the train on Secunderabad-Vijayawada track via Kazipet can run at a maximum speed of 130 kmph.

1) The Vande Bharat Express has travel classes like Shatabdi Train, but with a better travel experience for passengers.
2) Each Vande Bharat has a total seating capacity of 1,128 passengers with all coaches equipped with automatic doors; a GPS-based audio-visual passenger information system, onboard hotspot Wi-Fi for entertainment purposes, and comfortable seating.
3) India launched its first semi high-speed train, the Vande Bharat Express, in 2019. The train, developed by the Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai, has an intelligent braking system, enabling better acceleration and deceleration.
4) All the coaches are equipped with automatic doors, a GPS-based audio-visual passenger information system, onboard Wi-Fi and comfortable seats.
5) The executive class has rotating chairs. Bista inaugurated a foot overbridge and a VIP lounge at the Siliguri Junction railway station.
