Toki Mats Breaks Social Norms With All-Inclusive Marketing

LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESSWIRE / October 10, 2022 / Toki Mats offers a line of comfortable, high-quality, and non-toxic play mats that support gross motor development for your little ones. The brand name is a play on the Hebrew word “matoki,” a term of endearment meaning “sweetheart.” Since its inception 5 years ago, Toki Mats has successfully made its mark within the baby care industry, and has also expanded its collection as a result of the overwhelming support. The company now manufactures different sizes (standard, mega, & epic) for its play mats, and appeals to dog-lovers with products and materials that are both drool-resistant and scratch-resistant.

Despite the widespread use of play mats internationally, options within the United States have historically been limited and proven substantially inferior to their foreign counterparts. Having lived in Tel Aviv, Israel, Toki Mats’ founder, Eli Yonas, witnessed this gap in the American market firsthand. Observing how much of a necessity these play mats were for properly accommodating a new baby in the family, Yonas noticed that the playtime habits of families in Israel highly contrasted the habits of those in the United States.

At the time of Yonas’ own maternity leave, there wasn’t a play mat brand in the U.S. that had mastered the cohesion of aesthetics, safety, and comfort, and it was this realization that ultimately inspired her to create Toki Mats. Because baby products are almost exclusively marketed to single mothers, Toki Mats made the inclusion of all family members a priority in the context of its marketing efforts. The company recognizes that there are single fathers, grandparents, extended family members, family friends, and even other children who actively help in raising a child, and are part of their first moments.

The positive feedback towards Toki Mats is, in large part, because of the company’s sound product design. The play mats are uniquely constructed with a natural foam insert and a soft mat cover, which provide optimal cushioning and support for both babies and family members to play and tumble around together. Additionally, the mats are made with only organic materials, meaning parents can be rest assured that their children are playing in a safe environment. The foam cores of the play mats are made from all-natural plant latex, and customers are given the choice of an organic cotton cover or a waterproof, vegan leather cover. In addition, each mat comes with a Standard 100 label by Oeko-Tex, certifying the product as non-toxic.

With the baby industry being as popular as it is, it’s easy for parents to feel lost in an oversaturated market. The heaps of product offerings coupled with the constant, but warranted, doubts of whether or not they are choosing the right option for their child can create an overwhelming experience. Toki Mats is dedicated to making that process as smooth as possible, and expediting the time needed for their customers to feel confident in their decision. Part of this solution is offering a variety of designs that are modern and functional, with curated elements that play a pivotal role in a baby development.

Today, the company is based in Los Angeles, California with an agenda to expand its collection even further, while maintaining its reputation of superior safety, comfort, and eye-catching aesthetics.

About:

Toki Mats offers a collection of portable, easy-to-clean play mats with unique and modern designs. The company was launched 5 years ago by Founder, Eli Yonas, with the mission to provide a safe & comforting environment for kids to play & grow in. Additionally, the brand prioritizes inclusivity for all family members with a belief that it’s mothers as well as fathers, grandparents, extended family, and friends that potentially play a role in a child’s development. Each mat is made of an all-natural plant latex and the materials used are all organic. Mat sizes range from standard (3.3′ by 3.3′), mega (4.6′ by 4.6′ ), and epic (5′ by 7′).
