Justice Clarence Thomas has been hospitalized as a result of an an infection, the Supreme Court docket stated Sunday.
Thomas, 73, was admitted to Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C., on Friday after experiencing “flu-like signs,” in keeping with the court docket assertion.
Thomas is being handled with antibiotics and his signs are abating. He’s resting comfortably and expects to be launched in a day or two, the court docket stated.
The Supreme Court docket is assembly this week to listen to arguments in 4 instances. Thomas plans to take part within the instances even when he misses the arguments, the court docket stated.
Thomas has been on the court docket since 1991.
