The general flight operations of home airways are set to rise by 5.5 per cent on a year-on-year foundation in the summertime schedule, efficient from March 30 to October 25, 2025.
In keeping with the 2025 schedule launched by the regulator, DGCA, the general flight departures will rise to 25,610 per week from 24,275 per week in the course of the summer time schedule 2024.
Nevertheless, on a sequential foundation, flight departures in the course of the summer time schedule 2025 (SS25) grew solely by 2.41 per cent per week in comparison with the winter schedule 2024 (WS24).
“It has been noticed that there are 25,610 departures per week which have been finalised to and from 129 airports as per ‘SS25’ in comparison with 25,007 departures per week from 124 airports in WS24,” the DGCA mentioned in an announcement on the summer time schedule for 2025.
“Out of those 129 airports, Ambikapur, Datia, Bidar, Porbandar, Pakyong, Rewa, and Solapur are the brand new airports proposed by the scheduled airways, whereas operations from Azamgarh and Rupsi airports had been suspended in the summertime schedule 2025.”
As per ‘SS25,’ IndiGo had the best variety of flights accredited beneath the schedule.
Underneath the accredited schedule, IndiGo will function 14,158 flights per week, up 8.49% on a y-o-y foundation, adopted by Air India at 4,310, up 89.20 per cent, Air India Specific at 3,375, up 38.49 per cent, Akasa Air at 1,089, up 20.60 per cent, whereas the accredited flight power of SpiceJet went down by 25.17 per cent to 1,240 and that of Alliance Air by 41.96 per cent to 520.
Moreover, Star Air’s accredited flight power rose to 58.31 per cent to 505 and Fly91 by 515 per cent to 123. FlyBig will function 176 flights and IndiaOne 114.
