MUMBAI, India — Indians marked the ultimate day of the Ganesh Chaturthi, a vibrant, 10-day Hindu pageant celebrating the delivery of Lord Ganesha, revered because the remover of obstacles, and god of knowledge, prosperity and new beginnings.
On the finish of the pageant devotees transport photographs of the elephant-headed Hindu god to a close-by seashore the place they ceremonially immerse it into the ocean.
