Passenger’s phone catches fire mid-air on IndiGo’s Dibrugarh-Delhi flight; no one injured

A passenger’s cell phone caught hearth mid-air on IndiGo’s Dibrugarh-Delhi flight on Thursday however the cabin crew doused it with the assistance of a fireplace extinguisher, stated officers of aviation regulator DGCA.

There was no harm to any passenger or cabin crew member on account of this incident, the Directorate Common of Civil Aviation (DGCA) officers stated.

The flight 6E 2037 was heading to Delhi from Dibrugarh when a cabin crew member noticed sparks and smoke emitting from a passenger’s cellphone, officers famous.

The fireplace was then extinguished by the cabin crew member utilizing a fireplace extinguisher, they talked about.

The plane landed safely on the Delhi airport round 12.45 pm on Thursday, they said.

In an announcement, IndiGo stated, “There was an incident of a cell system battery heating up abnormally on flight 6E 2037 from Dibrugarh to Delhi. The crew is educated to handle all hazardous incidences they usually shortly managed the state of affairs. There was no hurt brought about to any passenger or property onboard.”
