The Museum of Fashionable Artwork in midtown Manhattan was evacuated Saturday afternoon after two feminine workers had been stabbed inside the situation, a New York Metropolis Police Division spokeswoman confirmed.

The victims had been in secure situation and transported to Bellevue Hospital, the spokeswoman mentioned.

The alleged suspect had his museum membership card revoked earlier this week because of two separate incidents in latest days, John Miller, deputy commissioner of public info, mentioned in a press convention.

The person allegedly entered the museum along with his card, jumped over reception and stabbed the 2 girls a number of instances.

He was recorded on video leaving the world, Miller mentioned. The person is understood to police and they’re working to find him.

Folks took to social media to share movies and footage of police vehicles surrounding the doorway of the artwork museum, with some describing being evacuated from the scene.

“Went to fulfill pals at @MuseumModernArt. Greeted with a stampede of individuals fleeing,” Alyssa Katz, deputy editor of The Metropolis, shared on Twitter.
