On Monday night’s edition of MSNBC’s The ReidOut, Joy Reid returned yet again to her second favorite target, Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis. This time because Reid realized he is still trying to protect gender confused children from being mutilated and sterilized by quack doctors. This apparently upset Reid who bizarrely accused DeSantis of wanting to turn Florida into “a petri dish for everything on 4chan.”
Reid opened the segment melting down over DeSantis wanting to protect children, claiming he is in an “endless quest to become the new face of the Republican Party” and focuses on “whatever the far-right 4chan Elon Musk/Joe Rogan crowd decides is the culture issue of the day and exploit it to its last ugly compound.”
Reid then read from an article published on the leftist rag The Daily Beast:
New reporting sheds light on DeSantis’s crusade to deny transgender medical care for two of society’s most vulnerable groups, children and the poor. The Daily Beast reports that when a far right state legislator failed to pass an anti-trans bill earlier this year, the Governor resorted to back room bureaucracy to get the same result using different state agencies to cut off gender affirming care.
Since the legislation DeSantis wanted passed to protect children from abuse from the gender ideologues failed in the Florida legislature, DeSantis sought to use the powers given to him to prevent medicaid from paying for sex transition surgeries for children.
Reid read from the The Daily Beast article which whined how “the Governor’s attack is something of a pincer movement. His administration targeted the poor by eliminating state and Medicaid coverage for transgender care in August and it is currently preparing to bar doctors from providing related services to minors.”
Speaking to Florida Democrat state senator Shevrin Jones about DeSantis, Reid laughably claimed that he wants to make Florida a “petri dish for everything on 4chan. Anything the people on 4chan are screaming about, he wants to use it as a platform to make himself into the President.”
