Greater than 28 lakh new autos have been registered in Maharashtra in 2024, a 12.32 per cent improve from 25.63 lakh registrations in 2023, as per official knowledge.
Total, 28.79 lakh autos have been registered, together with 20.50 lakh two-wheelers and round 4.50 lakh vehicles, a 12.32 per cent bounce from 25.63 lakh autos registered in 2023.
Different autos embody greater than 1.20 lakh vehicles, over 9,800 public service buses, 87,300 three-wheelers, and 84,500 tractors.
At 3.02 lakh, the very best variety of autos have been registered on the Pune RTO (Regional Transport Workplace), adopted by 1.26 lakh at Thane RTO and 1.19 lakh at Pimpri-Chinchwad RTO.

“Nearly each fortnight we open a brand new collection (autos registration) at Pune RTO,” Bhimanwar stated.
In Mumbai, 2.79 lakh new autos have been registered at 4 RTO places of work, reflecting a 9.89 per cent improve from 2.54 lakh in 2023.
The very best variety of registrations was recorded at Wadala RTO (76,623), adopted by Borivali RTO (71,135), Tardeo RTO (71,602), and Andheri RTO (60,362).
Whereas Wadala RTO noticed a 14.91 per cent rise in registrations, Borivali, Tardeo, and Andheri recorded will increase of 9.79 per cent, 6.64 per cent, and seven.91 per cent, respectively.
