KL Rahul Wedding, Wife: Cricketer KL Rahul and Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty tied the knot on Monday, January 23. The wedding ceremony took place at actor Suniel Shetty’s farmhouse in Khandala, saw the pheras taking place close to the magic hour in the evening.
Both Athiya and Rahul have their roots in Karnataka. While Rahul was born in the state capital Bengaluru, Athiya who was born in Mumbai and is of Tulu descent with her father, Bollywood’s very own Anna, Suniel Shetty belonging to Mangalore.
Ahead of the wedding, Athiya and KL Rahul hosted a sangeet night for their guests. Suniel and his wife Mana, along with Athiya’s besties Krishna Shroff and Akansha Ranjan had set the dance floor on fire with the celebrations.
KL Rahul took to Twitter to share photos from his wedding. “In your light, I learn how to love…” Today, with our most loved ones, we got married in the home that’s given us immense joy and serenity. Former cricketer Harbhajan Singh extended wishes to the couple. He tweeted: “Heartiest congratulations to lovely couple@klrahul & @theathiyashetty. My best wishes are with you as you begin the most important innings of your life. May Waheguru bless you with immense love and Happiness.”
