Donald Trump’s chaotic inauguration was the main focus of Jon Stewart’s opening monologue throughout Monday night time’s episode of “The Day by day Present.”
After years of righteously, and justifiably, criticizing the convicted felon for attempting to overthrow our authorities, lots of his detractors rolled on into the Capitol rotunda to observe his coronation.
“Even Mike Pence confirmed up, I suppose, to let the gang end the job,” Stewart mentioned in regards to the former vice chairman, who nearly misplaced his head after Trump focused him forward of the Jan. 6 rebel.
“Solely Michelle Obama appeared to have the constant moral stance of claiming, ‘After they go low, I keep the fuck house,’” he added.
Your entire inauguration was a show of the oligarchical takeover of the U.S. authorities, with the entrance row actually stuffed with the world’s wealthiest males.
“Populism, girls and gents,” Stewart mentioned. “Should not this gathering be taking place at a volcano lair close to Zurich? Or are we simply open supply illuminati now?”
And to prime all of it off, Trump didn’t even hassle to place his hand on the Bibles that Melania Trump held for his swearing in.
“Sure, it seems Trump did not really put his hand on the Bible. Clearly, as a result of one or the opposite would burst into flames. Maybe each,” Stewart joked.
