IndiGo Passengers Stranded for 36 Hours at Istanbul Airport Because of Flight Delays

An entire lot of IndiGo passengers have been stranded at Istanbul airport for hours attributable to flight delays. The airline apologised for the inconvenience.

Particulars of the affected flights couldn’t be confirmed immediately, nevertheless many passengers complained on social media about delays of over 36 hours and an absence of companies on the airport. Some had been stranded since Thursday.

IndiGo operates two day-to-day flights to Istanbul with Boeing 777 airplane, one from Delhi and one from Mumbai.

In response to a purchaser submit on social media platform X, the airline stated that the delay was attributable to “operational causes.” “Our airport group is available on the market the least bit touchpoints to assist prospects, and meals are being equipped to ease the wait. We assure you that our teams are working diligently to get the airplane airborne on the earliest,” the airline talked about.

IndiGo didn’t current explicit particulars regarding the flights or the number of affected passengers and the time it could take to resolve.

Some passengers shared footage of those caught on the airport.

“Due to technical factors, IndiGo flights from Mumbai and Delhi to Istanbul expert delays. This led to cascading delays inside the return sectors. All important steps have been taken to ensure prospects have been apprised, they normally have been equipped with refreshments and lodging, the place attainable,” the airline talked about in a press launch on Friday evening.

Earlier, IndiGo had apologised for the inconvenience triggered to passengers.

In a submit on X, one passenger talked about, “first time to India and stranded on the Istanbul Airport for the ultimate 24 hours on account of the IndiGo flight retains cancelling. No meals. No readability. No marketing consultant, No compensation, Pathetic remedy.”

One different passenger posted on X, “Lot of people stranded on the airport attributable to pathetic corporations by @IndiGo6E and @TurkishAirlines operators. Not at all information flights with them as they don’t price passengers’ time. You could in no way be on time with @IndiGo6E.”
