Even essentially the most principled journalists are whipping boys nowadays. Former President Donald Trump has known as them enemies of the individuals. Their public standing has fallen with these of many different establishments. However one other issue is at work, too. Critical journalists are lumped with partisan commentators on cable information and "reporters" for tendentious on-line newssheets.
