Group Captain Shukla, along Ax-4 crew, to undock from ISS today; splashdown tomorrow

New Delhi: Axiom-4 mission, that includes Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, is about to undock from the Worldwide Area Station on July 14th. Crewmates — veteran astronaut Peggy Whitson (US) as commander, Polish engineer Sławosz Uznański, and Hungarian researcher Tibor Kapu additionally current.

After spending virtually 18 days aboard the Worldwide Area Station as a part of the Axiom-4 mission (Ax-4), Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, the primary Indian astronaut to go to the ISS, together with this crew for the mission, is about to undock from the house station at present, at roughly 4:35 PM IST.

From there, undocking will start at roughly 6:45 am EDT or 4:15 PM IST, with the precise undocking roughly at 7:05 am EDT or 4:30 PM IST.

Group Captain Shukla additionally expressed his gratitude to the folks of ISRO, NASA, worldwide companions, Axiom Area, and SpaceX for making this journey attainable and highlighted the unbelievable expertise of working with professionals from around the globe and the mission’s far-reaching influence.

The Ax-4 crew, comprising Commander Peggy Whitson, Pilot Shubhanshu Shukla of the Indian Area Analysis Organisation (ISRO), European Area Company (ESA) undertaking astronaut Slawosz “Suave” Uznanski-Wisniewski of Poland, and Hungarian to Orbit (HUNOR) astronaut Tibor Kapu, had been actively engaged in analysis and outreach actions aboard the ISS as a part of the mission throughout the previous 18-days.
