February air passenger visitors in India rises by 11% y-o-y

India’s dwelling air passenger guests grew by 11.04 per cent in February 2025 on a year-on-year basis, official info confirmed on Thursday.

As per the knowledge launched by the Directorate Regular of Civil Aviation (DGCA), India’s scheduled dwelling flight operators ferried spherical 1.40 crore passengers ultimate month. 

In February 2024, the guests amount stood at 1.26 crore. 

On a sequential basis, 1.46 crore passengers had been ferried by dwelling airways in January 2025.

“Passengers carried by dwelling airways all through February 2025 had been 1.40 crore as in direction of 1.26 crore all through the corresponding interval of the sooner yr thereby registering an annual growth of 11.16 per cent and month-to-month growth of 11.04 per cent,” the DGCA month-to-month passenger guests report talked about.

In accordance with the knowledge, IndiGo achieved the perfect market share amongst the entire dwelling airways all through the month under evaluation. The airline ferried 89.40 lakh passengers in February 2025 to appreciate a market share of 63.7 per cent. 

IndiGo was adopted by Air India Group (along with Air India Categorical), which carried 38.30 lakh passengers to appreciate a market share of 27.3 per cent. 

The data confirmed that funds supplier SpiceJet flew 4.54 lakh to attain a market share of three.2 per cent, and Akasa Air carried 6.59 lakh to appreciate a share of 4.7 per cent.

Other than, Alliance Air’s market carried 0.86 lakh passengers to get a share of 0.6 per cent, adopted by Star Air, which carried 0.60 lakh to get a share of 0.4 per cent.
