Israeli protection electronics firm Elbit Techniques Ltd. (Nasdaq: ESLT; TASE:ESLT) introduced in the present day that it has been awarded a contract price $27 million by the Swedish Protection Materiel Administration, to offer the Swedish Armed Forces with M339 rounds, 120mm ammunition, and Information Setting Items, for its Leopard Major Battle Tanks (MBTs). The contract shall be carried out over ten months.

Appropriate for all NATO 120mm clean bore gun MBTs, the M339 is a high-accuracy, multi-purpose 120mm tank ammunition that complies with the relevant requirements of the US Army and NATO. The Swedish Armed Forces chosen the M339, Elbit stated, to enhance the firepower and the power of the battle tanks to have interaction several types of targets.
Elbit Techniques Land common supervisor Yehuda Vered stated, “I consider that this choice by Sweden underscores the rising recognition by Western armies of the distinctive high quality of our portfolio of merchandise.”
