President Joe Biden moved to make clear his remarks concerning the Donald Trump rally at Madison Sq. Backyard on Sunday after Republicans pounced on a remark they stated demeaned supporters of the previous president.
Biden participated in a name with Voto Latino on Tuesday evening by which he lambasted comic Tony Hinchcliffe’s racist set on the New York Metropolis rally. Hinchcliffe had referred to as Puerto Rico an “island of rubbish” and made different racist and antisemitic remarks. Biden later launched an announcement elaborating on his remarks, saying the feedback at Trump’s rally didn’t mirror “who we’re as a nation.”
“Earlier at this time I referred to the hateful rhetoric about Puerto Rico spewed by Trump’s supporter at his Madison Sq. Backyard rally as rubbish — which is the one phrase I can consider to explain it,” the president stated. “His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable. That’s all I meant to say.”
The feedback have been shortly seized upon by Trump’s allies and his operating mate, Sen. JD Vance of Ohio.
