Biden Admin Can’t Even Get Thanksgiving Talking Points Right

Need to shorten the Christmas shopping list to ease the sting of Bidenflation this year? The White House has everything you need. Deputy Communications Director Jennifer Molina tweeted a list of Thanksgiving talking points approved by the administration, and if spreading the cringeworthy progressive spin at the table doesn’t run off enough relatives, there’s a glaring gaffe worthy of the godfather himself that’s sure to trigger anyone paying enough attention to catch it.

Thanksgiving Talking Points

Here’s the list Molina suggests for “chatting with your Uncle” at Thanksgiving:

“Gas prices are down by $1.35/gallon since June and inflation is moderating.” Just don’t ask where the prices were in January of 2021 – or how much fuel remains in the nation’s strategic reserve. “Took on Big Pharma – and won – lowering prescription drug and healthcare costs.” Nothing puts a fiscal conservative in the mood to spend quality time with you like explaining how Americans can’t afford medical care but can afford government-run health care and the bureaucracy to administrate it. Simple economics, no?

Then there’s unity. Biden worked with Republicans to “make more in America,” pass the “first meaningful gun safety legislation in nearly 30 years,” and “rebuild America’s infrastructure.” But, of course, that doesn’t change the fact that “meanwhile, Republicans in Congress are EXTREME” because they propose a national ban on abortion, “plan to put Medicare and Social Security on the chopping block,” and want to “raise costs on Americans” by repealing the Inflation Reduction Act.

A Gaffe Worthy of the Godfather

Liberty Nation’s Jeff Charles once dubbed Joe Biden the godfather of gaffe – and one item on the list certainly lives up to that moniker as if the president himself wrote it. By now, everyone is familiar with the claim that no one making under $400,000 a year will see an increase in taxes caused by any Biden actions or approved legislation, right? One must wonder if that makes this the most epic Freudian slip of the year: “And NO taxes on people making above $400k – he kept his promise.”

As Elon Musk said on his way into Twitter HQ, let that sink in.

No taxes – at all – on people making above – not less than – $400k. A Freudian slip is defined as an unintentional error that reveals subconscious feelings. Perhaps that’s a bunch of psychobabble, or maybe it’s the truth of how the leftist elite really feel about us mere peasants slipping through. What’s truly amazing, however, is that the obvious gaffe seems lost on so many.

“Using White House talking points to try and gaslight your own family as to the realities of this administration seems like a miserable way to spend Thanksgiving,” Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC) told Fox News Digital. “Yes, and be sure to bring the receipt from the gas station, where you’re paying ~$1.21/gallon more than the day Joe Biden took office. Go figure,” the Republican National Committee replied to Molina’s tweet. “The administration’s actions have ignited inflation and made Thanksgiving dinner 20% more expensive,” Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA) said. “That is nothing to celebrate.”

Solid points, every one – and Biden taking a victory lap when Americans are struggling through the holiday season is about as tone deaf as the classic “let them eat cake.” Over on Twitter, of course, it’s a mixed bag. Conservatives refuted the points, and progressives thankful for their president came rushing to his defense, projecting Biden’s failures on to greedy corporations and Trump. But too few from either side seemed to notice the White House’s boast that the rich simply didn’t have to pay taxes under Biden. If parroting these Thanksgiving talking points – and especially that outrageous claim about taxes – doesn’t save you some money on Black Friday, nothing will.
