The Bangladesh authorities has cancelled an order price almost Rs 180 crore from Backyard Attain Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd. The contract was for building of a complicated ocean-going tug, based on an alternate submitting on Wednesday.
The order, price $21 million, was from the Directorate Common Defence Buy, Ministry of Defence, Bangladesh. The development and supply of 1 superior ocean-going tug was to be designed, constructed and delivered in 24 months, based on the earlier notification.
The general size of the tug would have been almost 61 metres and the vessel was set to be about 15.8 metres broad with a depth almost 6.8 metres. The ship’s most velocity with a full load was to be not less than 13 knots.
Shares of GRSE closed 4.43% larger at Rs 2,500.5 apiece on the NSE. The shares have risen 54.7% on a year-to-date foundation and 109.6% within the final 12 months.
