Domestic markets inched lower in Wednesday’s intra-day trade ahead of the US Federal Reserve’s rate action. The Nifty50 index declined around 60 points to trade below 18,100, and the S&P BSE Sensex shed around 190 points to trade below 61,000 levels.
Broader markets, however, were fractionally lower as Nifty MidCap 100 and Nifty SmallCap 100 indices dipped up to 0.07 per cent.
All sectors shifted between gains and losses, with Nifty Pharma and Nifty Media indices advancing over 1 per cent each. Nifty IT, Nifty Auto, Nifty PSU Bank indices, however, slipped up to 0.7 per cent.

soared 20 per cent to hit upper circuit of Rs 112.55 per share, after the company’s net profit grew 228 per cent YoY (an all-time quarterly high) to Rs 411.5 crore in Q2FY23.
